Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to read this site and reach support. This page explains what we did, what we have not checked yet, and how to reach us.
Our goal
We build this site to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. The Israeli standard IS 5568 is based on WCAG, and we hold the site to that level.
What we did
- Plain HTML with headings, landmarks and a "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, and the focused item always has a clear outline.
- Text and background colors meet at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, in light and in dark mode.
- Text sizes are relative, so the page grows with your settings. It stays usable at 200% text size and on a narrow screen without sideways scrolling.
- Buttons and navigation links are at least 44 pixels tall.
- Links say where they go, and links inside text are underlined, so color is never the only cue.
- No animation, no pop-ups, no video, no audio, and no forms or CAPTCHAs.
- Pages in Hebrew are set to right-to-left, with the language declared for screen readers.
- Every page is checked automatically with the axe-core accessibility engine before we publish it.
What we have not finished checking
Automatic tools find only part of the problems. We are still testing with screen readers and with keyboard-only use, and this statement will be updated when we have done it. The Hebrew pages are translations of the English policies and are checked less thoroughly.
Adjust the site to your needs
We deliberately do not add an "accessibility widget" to the page. Such add-ons load code from another company and often conflict with the assistive technology you already use. Your browser and device already have these controls, and this site follows them:
- Larger text or zoom: press Ctrl and + (Cmd and + on a Mac), or change the text size in your browser or phone settings.
- Dark mode: the site follows your device's light or dark setting.
- High contrast: the site respects the contrast and forced-colors settings of Windows and your browser.
- Screen readers: the site uses standard HTML structure, which screen readers rely on. We have not yet tested it with specific screen readers (see above).
Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to use, write to support@beforeopen.si with the word Accessibility in the subject. Tell us the page and what went wrong, and we will do our best to fix it and answer you.
